As part of Converse Lebanon's launch of SNEAKERS CLASH - a series of vibrant and colourful moments across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, designed to disrupt and clash against a grey world, the activation unfolded via a grand scale WALL CLASH. The event kicked off in Beirut at AUB Outdoors, whereby local graffiti artists, including Ashekman, Chad the Mad and Yazan Halwani, brought a wall to life. Converse fans tweeted in their suggestions as a blank canvas was turned into a collaborative work of art.
WALL CLASH gave Twitter fans the chance to submit their suggestions for the artists, as they incorporated phrases, emblems and colours into the unique piece.
"We are very fortunate to have been embraced by some of the world's most creative individuals for decades, and we always strive to give back to the artistic community in new ways," said Rodney Rambo, VP Marketing - Converse.
Converse's collaboration with local rising talents such as Ashekman, Chad the Mad and Yazan Halwani is an on-going partnership, encouraging them to transmit their creativity via splashes of colours, in their own inimitable style.
SNEAKERS CLASH is inspired by the spring 2014 Converse All Star sneaker collection, featuring dynamic pops of colour and elevated silhouettes to provoke youthful self-expression. Colourful tie-dye, bold colour blocking and striking archive prints create stylish looks perfect for brightening up the spring season. The undoubted hero of the collection is the Converse All Star Chuck '70 - a new take on an American icon.
