Adele has recorded the theme for new JamesBond film 'Skyfall', ending months of speculation she would be behind the track.
The singer has provided the official theme songfor the latest instalment of the British spy thriller series, her first new music since multi-milllion selling second album '21', released in January 2011.
Adele hinted she was to record the track last year, telling TV host Jonathan Ross: ''I'm going back in the studio in November, fingers crossed. Well, this is actually a theme, that I've got to do. Wow, that's really giving something away.''
Rumours were fuelled when she was subsequently spotted at Abbey Road studios with producer Paul Epworth, at the same time as the soundtrack was being produced.
Adele's song for the movie will also be called 'Skyfall' and she follows in the foorsteps of many other famous musicians by recording a Bond theme, including Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Shirley Bassey, Duran Duran, Tina Turner, Tom Jones and Madonna.
The film will be released on October 26, and will also mark the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise.
