Echoes of key moments of the 20th century are combined with mountain and outdoor scenes redesigned for the city with a fresh and modern take on the major trends to inspire Pull&Bear's Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 collections.
/ WOMAN
The characteristic look of some of the iconic decades of the 20th century -particularly the 1960s, 1970s and 1990s- make an appearance among the essential inspirations for the Pull&Bear women's collections for the upcoming Autumn/Winter season. Each of the lines feature innovative textures, using technical fabrics like neoprene and quilting, with sophisticated finishes and prints. Ample cocoon silhouettes and structured materials show up in both 60s-inspired preppy juvenile lines, characterised by their straight cuts, and in 70s bohemian looks, with flowing dresses, rustic fabrics, patchworks and handmade details. Prints feature natural elements like water-colours, blots or photographs of large flowers and leopard and snake skins. There is also space for tie-shaped or African-inspired geometric patterns and texts evoking advertising slogans. A-line dresses, pleats, culottes and aviator and bomber jackets are key garments, as well as looks that combine the same prints on top and bottom. The colour palette includes winter pastels like dirty green, mauve and dusty rose; a range of greens focusing on khaki, olive and hunter; and strong maroons, reds and blues; all combined with timeless basics like white, black and camel.
/ MAN
Pull&Bear's male collection for the Autumn/Winter season is inspired by outdoor environments modernised with urban touches. Different materials are often mixed in a single garment, and street looks are combined with sportier styles. The mountaineering Nordic spirit turns up in many of the lines to beat the cold, always filtered through the brand's characteristic urban edge, which is expressed in garments like down waistcoats or canvas aviator jackets as well as in contrasting materials (fleece lining mixed with nylon, or denim with leather). Outfits play at mixing a technical winter coat with the comfort of jogging chinos and other distinctly sporty items. Running shoes have a strong presence in this line, both in their vintage and more technical versions, sharing the spotlight with mountain boots and thickrubber soles. Season essentials aren't forgotten, such as rubberised parkas in bright colours. As for prints, there are ethnic geometric patterns, as well as small all-over prints. The colour palette includes reds, burgundies and mustards, as well as classic blacks and whites.
