Beirut-17 September. In a modern and luxurious bazar, a cool breeze blows over
accessories; luxuriant markets of Central Asia, costumes worn by nomads of the steppes,
rugs from the Orient, these are some of Creative Director Bruno Frisoni's inspirations for
Roger Vivier's new Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 collection.
Boots adopt a sporting air, the new bag celebrates the über-Parisian nonchalance of Ines de
la Fressange and shiny leathers add their vintage mark. The essential sexiness comes with
the new Stiletto-Sphère, providing the luxurious mystery.
We've dreamed about it and its happening. Eternal muse Ines de la Fressange offers her
allure and name to the season's new bag. The Ines is clearly the bag, a timeless object that
will be handed down from mother to daughter and will become the intimate friend of this
"very beautiful and very simple girl", as Bruno Frisoni likes to describe her.
The heel is the emblem of seduction à la Roger Vivier. The daring Virgule is introduced for
the first time on high boots and ankle boots. For this new version the square toe is key and
called Virgule 2 (Virgule square).
Always with heels, Bruno Frisoni plays the card of a whole new world with Stiletto-Sphère.
Stuck by a vertiginous needle, a ball nestles under the heel.
The signature codes are still at the heart of the collection. The buckle has been given a new
shape and is applied to court shoes like a crest. Prismick tries out the new metallic "crash"
leathers. The U-Look line adopts the seasonal soft leathers and launches its famous U heel
on a boot. As though slipped into the Spring-Summer sandal, decorated with the precious
buckle, its square-tipped shape plays tricks with its trompe-l'œil effect. Miss Viv', the
evergreen classic handbag at Roger Vivier, is re-interpreted in new materials and colours.
The climax of Roger Vivier's extraordinary savoir-faire, silks, lames and embroidery dazzle on
this season's boots, stilettos and bags. Leather or beaded Indian flowers, panther prints and
"plush" tapestry combine to create cooler, sportier lines. This play on volumes and fabrics
accentuates the mix of genres and imposes their own idea of cosmopolitan luxury.
The Virgule 2
The iconic Virgule invents a new equation with "Virgule 2" (Virgule square). For the first
time, the audacious heel launches out on a square-toed ankle boot. This look heralds
the "cool wind" blowing through the 2014-2015 Autumn-Winter accessories. The open
part at the back gives it that sexy touch that is so Vivier. Its graphic look is all about mixing
materials.
The Ines
Ines de la Fressange, Roger Vivier's Ambassador, has given her name to a new bag. Its chic
nonchalance is a direct reference to the model's unique allure. Less structured and more
flexible than other bags in the collection, Ines is clearly a new classic combining simplicity
and sophistication. A timeless bag that will be handed down from mother to daughter.
With its distinctive brand new popper clasp, Ines is available as a shoulder bag in two sizes:
shopping and envelope. It is quick and easy to open and can be carried like a clutch or over
the shoulder with a fine gold chain. The bags take on the season's colours in smooth leather,
suede and "crash metal".
