Meet The Man Who Saved The Lives Of 2 Million Babies

    10 october 2014

You've probably never heard of Australian James Harrison. He's not especially famous. He's not exactly a household name. But perhaps he should be. Because Harrison is nothing if not a hero.

Over the past six decades, the 77-year-old has saved the lives of over 2 million babies-2.4 million to be exact-by donating his blood plasma.

Harrison has a rare blood type that contains an antibody to Rhesus disease, a deadly form of anemia that affects newborns and unborn babies. He has donated blood over 1,000 times, earning him the moniker "The Man with the Golden Arm."

Among the many lives he has saved: his daughter Tracey.

His story was reported a while back, but we thought it was worth revisiting since most people still have no idea who this remarkable man is.

Watch the video below to hear his inspiring story.
