Allow us first to thank you for this opportunity; it is with pleasure that we get the chance to interview
Mr. Charbel Nakhle.
1.What was your inspiration to enter into the field of event management?
It has always been my passion ever since i was a child i used to organize a lot of small events at my village and small community. Later on i started organizing events at bigger scale in particular during my university years. I was elected vice president of students cabinet and i created the advertising club and i started organizing many events such as conferences, beauty pageants, talent shows and so on. Later on i continued organizing small events on my spare time but since i moved to Italy, i decided to devote myself to my passion creating my own company.
2.What gave you the strength to start out as a freelance after being a coordinator at Formatech, knowing that we live in a world where small opportunities are available and it is challenging for someone to start on their own?
In Lebanon, unfortunately, we live in a very unstable enviroment therefore i wasnt ready to take the risk to start something on my own. Not to mention, after my graduation in 2006, the country faced many political instabilities such as wars and conflicts.
Therefore, the wisest choice i could take was to become an employee; bearing in mind my future plans. So i kept on organizing small events as a free lance job which helped me creating contacts in the field.
3. What was the turning point of your career?
One day i woke up and i said to myself "life is too short to waste your talent and ambitions working for someone else".
4. Can you elaborate on the upcoming party; theme, attendees...
Tonight's party will be held at one of the most prestigious and well known venues in Milan, Armani Privee, located at the Armani Hotel. I will be launching my official website, inviting family friends and future suppliers to share with me the start of a promising journey. The theme was chosen carefully in coordination with the venue manager, and shall showcase an elegant and refined mix of both oriental and occidental theme paying tribute to Beirut and Dubai's nightlife as they are considered jewels of partying in the middle east.
5.Are they expecting any surprises?
For the first time ever, Armani Privee will be, exclusively, playing oriental music.
6.To whom would you like to dedicate all the success?
First of all, i'd love to dedicate my success to those who believed in my talent and stood by me at my best and hardest times. To Laura, my mother, and Joseph, my father, and all my family and friends. Thanking thm for being there when i most needed them.
