    Interview with DJ Anthony Bassoulou from Sky Management

    1 – How long have you been a DJ?

    I have been playing since 1990, so it has been 22 exciting years of DJing.

    2 – How would you define your “style” in music?


    I believe my music style is universal but consistent, with the same results anywhere and anytime.

     

    3 – What do you do to motivate the crowd at SKYBAR?

    I put all my feelings into my set, and build an emotional bridge with my listeners through my music, so that they feel it and live in it.

    4 – How do you keep your music collection up-to-date?

    That is the secret of the profession :) . But what I can tell you is that I am continuously creating  new mash-ups and remixes.

    5 – Which other countries have you played/put parties in?

     

    I played in many countries, namely the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Egypt, Turkey (Istanbul and Antalya), Greece (Athena, Paros and Mykonos) and Cyprus (Limassol and Ayia Napa).

    6 – How many songs do you have in your library?

    You are asking me tough questions. I have been collecting music since 1988, so my complete library is very large. But the library I constantly carry with me counts 9157 tracks to date, to be exact

     

    7 – In your opinion what made Beiruting.com the number 1 entertainment website in the MENA region?

     

    You guys are always on the ground hunting for new events and social gatherings.
    Your management and Miss Elsa in particular are very proactive. Beiruting Staff are well present in the night life ,I used to see them every night when i was playing @ Sky Bar.

    8 – How do  you feel playing at SKYBAR? And why have you decided to sign a 3 year contract with them? And will you be playing at “The One”?


    First, I was very excited to play at SKYBAR because I believe it is the number 1 summer club in the world.Second, what most people don’t know is that I played at SKYBAR for 2 nights when it first opened in its new venue in 2006, right before the war broke out. But I am thrilled to be part of the team behind the company with the great reputation it has today.

    Last but not least, yes I will be playing at “The One” and I am very much looking forward to it.

    9 – What do you think distinguishes you from other DJs?


    I believe there are many great DJs in Lebanon. The only problem is that there aren’t enough places where everyone can showcase their talent.
