Tamer Frères launched the Breitling Emergency at exclusive launch event
Ultimate adventure wristwatch with built-in personal locator beacon
Breitling Emergency is now available in Lebanon retailers
Tamer Frères, the sole representative for Breitling in Lebanon have unveiled the Breitling Emergency - the world's first wristwatch with a built-in-personal locator beacon. Designed for the ultimate adventurer, the Breitling Emergency establishes itself as a safety and survival instrument for all distress situations on land, at sea and in the air.
The launch took place at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut in front of VIP guests and leading members of the media. The unveiling was held just a short distance away from the Kronos boutique where the Breitling Emergency is now available for Breitling fans in Lebanon.
Speaking at the conference, Aed Adwan, Breitling Middle East said "Breitling has reaffirmed its pioneering role in the field of technical watches and instruments for professionals with the latest version of the Emergency, the very first wristwatch with a built-in personal locator beacon. Men in this region are known to be daring and adventurous; the Breitling Emergency is an essential purchase for the thrill-seekingdaredevil".
The Breitling Emergency is equipped with a dual frequency transmitter compliant with the specifications of the Cospas-Sarsat international satellite alert system, serving both to issue alerts and to guide search and rescue missions.
The beacon of the Emergency has been designed to simplify handling as much as possible. To deploy the antenna users must unscrew and pull out the cap of the main antenna on the right hand side of the case. This operation releases the cap of the second section, which the user can then deploy in a similar way. Once theantenna has been activated, all that remains is to ideally position the watch so as to guarantee the best possible transmission performance.
The Emergency is not only a personal survival instrument, it is also an electronic chronograph, featuring all the functions useful to professionals and adventurers, including a12/24-hour analog and digital display, multilingual calendar and battery end-of-life indication. The model is also equipped with a thermocompensatedSuperQuartzTM movement, which is ten times more accurate than standard quartz and is chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) - the highest industry benchmark in terms of precision and reliability.
Accentuating its powerful, technical appeal the satin-brushed bezel is engraved with a compass scale. Whilst the sapphire crystal is glare-proofed on both sides, and the luminescent hands and numerals guarantee optimal readability in any conditions. Customers in the region can also personalise their model, with a choice of a black, yellow or orange dial and a titanium bracelet or rubber strap.
