On Thursday, November 27, Le Royal Hotel - Beirut held a surprise VIP dinner for Nadhmi Auchi, the Chairman of General Mediterranean Holding which Le Royal Hotels & Resorts falls under, at Le Royal Beirut in honor of his new title. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had recently awarded Mrs. Auchi the Title of "Lady" and Mr. Auchi the title of 'Sir' in recognition of his contribution to interfaith dialogue and charity work conducted in Britain. The awarding ceremony, which had taken place at the British Government's headquarters in London, was attended by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Britain, in the presence of many British and Arab dignitaries as well.
Here in Lebanon, the joyous occasion took place at the Titanic Piano Bar. Many VIPs were specifically invited to this event, as well as esteemed members of the press. Le Royal is committed to the values of its founder, Mr. Auchi, such as dialogue among religions, noble charity works and investment projects that help advance society.
