Maroun Chedid and Taillevent have the pleasure to announce their exciting new collaboration for the end of year 2014 and year 2015.
Maroun Chedid, dubbed as the jeweler of gastronomy, has always been passionate about the worlds of wine and champagne.
Enter Les Caves de Taillevent, the key wine destination in Lebanon, with nearly 900 wine references. Their signature being 'L'accord Mets & Vins', the wine bar has become akin to a temple of gastronomy.
As purveyors of haute gastronomy and unique wines, it was only natural that these two giants would meet and share their passion. Their collaboration promises to create unique experiences around wine and food with exciting events throughout 2015.
The evening of December 10th marked the launch of this collaboration at Le Bar de Taillevent in Achrafieh.
More than 1200 people, foodies and oenophiles alike enjoyed an evening of pure heaven savoring Maroun Chedid's specialties taken from his December menu that were paired with Taillevent's most sought-after vintages.
Speaking about the collaboration Maroun Chedid statedI am very happy to be a part of this exciting new collaboration with Taillevent. It is always refreshing to work with like-minded and passionate people such as Paul Choueiry. I urge all food and wine lovers to look out for our future events, as they will not be disappointed. We promise the man unforgettable journey!
Paul Choueiry, the general manager and oenologue of Les Caves de Taillevent- Beirut discussed the collaboration commenting Last year I tried to pair wines with a special menu that Maroun designed, using the classical school of food pairing; but I understood quickly that to reach the perfect synergy, I had to forget all that I have learned, and go crazy to match him. The result was magical, and led to this new collaboration.
