Alfa, the first Lebanese mobile operator managed by Orascom Telecom, announces the launch of the Prepaid SMS Roaming service which allows prepaid subscribers to send SMS during their stay outside Lebanon.
A fee of $0.5 will be charged for each SMS sent from any of the
273 worldwide operators which Alfa has Roaming Exchange Agreements with in 141 countries worldwide. It is worth noting however that receiving the SMS will be free of charge.
The Prepaid SMS Roaming service will be available by default to all
Alfa prepaid roamers hence no prior subscription to the service is needed. In addition, Alfa prepaid roamer will be receiving a free of charge SMS upon his arrival to his destination informing him about the prepaid SMS roaming tariff (0.5$/SMS).
