We can confirm that the information in reference to the Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace circulated on October 31st, 2012 through various media channels is incorrect.


At this stage we do not know the source or origin of this false information, but we remain steadfast in our commitment to the community, and to the tourism and business sectors of Lebanon.


The Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace and the Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand are fully operational and will continue to be in the foreseeable future.


Khalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Habtoor Group, stated, "I would like to emphasize that our hotel is still operating efficiently. I pledged since the beginning of my investment inLebanon to support the Lebanese economy to secure jobs for the greatest possible number of Lebanese citizens from all groups and communities. Despite all the circumstances Lebanon is passing through and continues to pass by, I am still on my pledge."
