Once again, Bassma, an NGO working on empowering destitute families, drew a smile on the faces of over 100 family members, when it hosted, with the support of a group of devoted volunteers, a fun-filled Mother's Day trip and lunch at Lebanon's iconic Jeita Grotto on Sunday March 22nd, 2015.
Every Mother's Day, Bassma focuses on bringing the entire family together to celebrate life's purest love, motherhood. This year, like last, the families were eager to go to the Grotto Restaurant and enjoy the good food, beautiful weather, and soothing ambiance, as well celebrating their mothers on her special day by showering her with love, flowers and gifts.
Quoting Gibran Khalil Gibran, Sandra Klat Founding President at Bassma, said that "The mother is everything - she is our consolation in sorrow, our hope in misery, and our strength in weakness. She is the source of love, mercy, sympathy, and forgiveness". Klat also went on to say that, "Mothers are the pillars of families, just as the families are the pillars of the society."
Bassma is an exceptional NGO devoted to ensuring the entire family is well taken care of, from the children's tuition to the roof over their head and works hard at providing a happy and healthy life for those in need.
