In-line with Samsung's strategy to support the local communities and its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Samsung Electronics Levant and Cherfane Tawil & Co. (CTC), the official distributor for Samsung Electronics in Lebanon, sponsored and ran the annual Beirut Marathon 2012.
Joining forces with the Marathon, the partnership gave back to the Lebanese community through fundraising as well as promoting healthy living through exercise. Amidst great excitement in the early morning, CTC's team took-off running the 10km Fun Run at the tenth edition of the Beirut Marathon. Samsung/CTC placed a large tent throughout the track with live 'Saj' stations, offering quick bites to passing runners to re-energize their strength and complete the rest of their race successfully.
CEO of Cherfane Tawil & Co., Mr. Eddy Cherfane, said, "We were excited to sponsor the Beirut Marathon 2012 which has proven over the years to be one of the most-anticipated annual events and one of the largest fundraisers for charitable organizations in Lebanon." He added, "It was great having the whole team participate in the race as a team building activity.
