With the rates of child violence increasing at an alarming pace in Lebanon, Easy learning center, in collaboration with himaya, invited Lebanese mothers to a special workshop aiming at shedding the light on child abuse and bullying. The event held at the center's premises in Hamra, on the 27th of June, gathered a beautiful crowd of mothers from the public as well as the local media and influencers' community.
The center established in September 2012 by Farah Abou Hassan brings professional advisors and teachers to cover both their academic programs: "Clover Nursery" and "Clifford Learning" where they provide kids with the safest environment that protects them from violence, abuse and bullying.
On the occasion, Farah Abou Hassan, Founder of Easy Learning Center, commented: "Since we launched Easy Learning Center, our ultimate goal was to enlighten mothers, inform them about abuse and provide them with different methods to overcome it. Again today, we are underlining the importance of recognizing the symptoms of violence and bullying on our children and the necessity to teach them how to express and communicate in order to react".
From her side himaya Psychologist and Psychotherapist, Charelle Ghazal emphasized on the importance of enrolling these subjects in the Lebanese schools and programs as they will save millions of violated kids. In her presentation she explained: "Despite its prevalence, the issue of child abuse in the Lebanon has scarcely been addressed and this is what we are trying to change. Our collaborations with academic institutions such as the Easy Learning Center on such events bring us a step closer to protecting innocence in danger"
The 2-hour open workshop featured interesting sessions covering the following topics: "The 4 Types of Abuse", "The Positive Discipline", "Nonviolent Communication" and the different methods to conquer them.
