This year, Decathlon has actively participated in the Beirut Marathon and was the official sportswear sponsor his year. Indeed, the prestigious French brand, which has recently opened its first store inLebanon, at Le Mall - Dbayyeh, has sponsored several activities related to this major sport annual event.
True to its first vocation, namely to promote the sport in all its forms, Decathlon has emerged powerfully during the event on the local sports scene. The brand has indeed left its mark in the marathon by plunging participants in its dynamic and particular world especially through a unique promotional campaign. Aiming to educate Lebanese about the virtues of sport , which are essential to the individual's well-being, both physical and moral, Decathlon has actually encouraged its customers to take part in the competition. Thus, from 7 to 10 November, coupons of 10% discount were distributed to customers at the entrance of Forum de Beyrouth during the collection of BIB numbers.
Meanwhile, during the Marathon day, Decathlon has played on all fronts so that the public could live Decathlon experience. Cars or electric trolleys featuring the logo of the brand transported for free the public while funny and original animations took place not to mention the many interactive live shows organized both in Ain al-Mreisseh and Beirut Souks. Every single activity has been designed to trigger new interests and especially passion for Sport.
In Ain el-Mreisseh in particular, 10 performers dressed in t-shirts printed with the colors of Decathlon interpreted physical exercises "radical fitness" outdoors under the gaze of passers-by.
Simultaneously, in Beirut Souks, 15 young professional athlete girls dressed in t-shirts from Decathlon presented a "Zumba Fitness" show.
It is worth mentioning that the brand founded in 1976, offers a wide range of high quality sport items at competitive and affordable prices for approximately 70 kinds of sport and under the same roof. Thecompany, a chain belonging to the famous Oxylane Group aims to make sport accessible to all. Located around the world with approximately 595 stores in more than 15 countries, Decathlon continues itsinternational expansion. The point of sale recently inaugurated in Lebanon is the second in the region after the opening of its first store in the UAE in 2010.
