Total Liban Supports the French Language within the Lebanese Army

    30 july 2015

Total Liban inaugurated the French Learning Centres at the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) barrack in Ghosta and the Health School in Badaro. The two ceremonies, held respectively on 26 June and 30 July, were attended by representatives of the Defense and Cooperation Mission of the Embassy of France in addition to Lebanese military authorities and a delegation from Total Liban.

The two initiatives are part of Total Liban's support to the Jeu de la langue française launched by the Defense and Cooperation Mission of the Embassy of France in Lebanon to promote the French language and its use within the Lebanese Armed Forces. Thanks to its support since 2011 to the Jeu de la langue française, Total Liban, through the French Learning Centres of Ghosta and Badaro, is allowing now the LAF to have new training tools hence, helping more soldiers and officers to benefit from French language courses in optimal learning conditions.

On these occasions, Mr. Amblard, Managing Director of Total Liban, reiterated the support of the company to the Jeu de la langue française by saying: "This initiative is part of our social commitment and it doesn't just promote the French language within the Lebanese Armed Forces but, it offers also the possibility to its members to develop their skills and abilities".

The two new centres will teach French to groups of 15 learners, with the aim to train between 120 and 150 persons per year.
