LG Electronics targets photography lovers with the G4’s advanced camera features

    19 august 2015

With the launch of its latest 4G enabled flagship Smartphone, the G4, LG Electronics allows photography lovers to enjoy a range of advanced features, enabling the mobile to compete with the best in the market. Amongst other features which distinguish the mobile, the G4 combines comfortable elegance with magnificent visuals and usage, ensuring a human-centric user-experience.

LG Electronics has designed the G4 with a 16MP rear camera whose F1.8 aperture lens, similar to a professional camera, guarantees an unforgettable experience. Allowing users to capture high quality images, the lens permits light access to the picture sensor in a percentage that exceeds 80%. With the second edition of the improved optical image stabilizator, the OIS 2.0, the G4 provides high performance even under poor lighting conditions, due to its ability to enlarge the size of the stabilizator from one to two degrees on both vertical and horizontal axes.

The G4 camera also possesses the ability to directly control the degree of focus, shutter speed, light sensibility (ISO) and white balance for every capture. In addition, photographers can save their pictures in RAW and JPEG formats, allowing to edit without losing the image's details.

What also improves the quality of the camera is the Color Spectrum Sensor (CSS) probe which captures the colored scales and improves color accuracy through the RGB color model. In its turn, the CSS uses this information to control the white balance and flash to capture images closer than they appear.

In order to maintain a high quality selfie, LG Electronics has enhanced the G4 by developing an 8MP front-facing camera with Gesture Interval Shot Technology, which takes accurate personal and group photos. Gestured capturing has been improved to capture repeated gestures which take four instant images within two seconds.

In terms of display, the G4 is the first Smartphone to use the vivid IPS Quantum Display screen, sized 5.5 inches, which increases the reproduction of colors by 20%, as well as improves brightness by 25% and contrast by 0.5%. Furthermore, the G4's Quad HD screen uses the Advanced In-Cell Touch (AIT) technology, combining the LCD screen and touch sensors in one layer, further improving color reproduction and touch sensibility.

The G4 is the first of its kind to utilize Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 808 processor. It also supports 4G communications at a 10 times higher speed, as well as provides a high-capacity 3,000mAH removable battery.
