For a good hour, & while clubbers, passers-by, and bystanders were enjoying their Friday night in the ever-vibrant street of Mar Mikhael, a unique musical collaboration premiered for the first time.
Ingrid Bawab and LaToya, joined by song-writer and producer Samer Etienne (Etyen), climbed their way onto the balcony facing LockStock, one of Mar Mikhael's populated pubs. Three mics, Etyen's laptop in tow and a whole lot of amplification lead to a truly unique and exclusive 45-minute set.
With Ingrid's recognizable featherlike indie-meets-pop vocals and LaToya's seasoned and flawless octave shattering high notes, it was the perfect platform that complimented Etyen's own enchanting vocals, lyrics and masterful mixing which left the crowd wanting more.
The fifth in a series of impromptu gigs, dubbed Vertical Stage and organized by Red Bull around lively nightlife hotspots, the public were also in for an added surprise on the side balcony. That surprise was none other than local Hip Hop favorite and Red Bull Vertical Stage Alumni: Nasser Shorbaji AKA Chyno
