    Karadeniz Powerships to lighten also Ghana and Indonesia.

    Karadeniz Holding bid farewell to two Powerships to Ghana and

     

     

    Indonesia and also began the construction of world's largest Powership, Orhan Ali Khan.

    Karadeniz Holding, the company that has the world's single Powership fleet, continues to expand its current fleet of 9 Powerships. The fleet's total production capacity will surpass 1,500 MW with the addition of Karadeniz Powership Ayşegül Sultan (235 MW), scheduled to go to the Republic of Ghana and Karadeniz Powership Zeynep Sultan (125 MW), scheduled to go to the Republic of Indonesia.

     

     

     

    The launch ceremony of Karadeniz Powership Ayşegül Sultan and Karadeniz Powership Zeynep Sultan to Ghana and Indonesia took place on Tuesday October 27th at Tuzla Sedef Dockyard. Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Ali Rıza Alaboyun attended the event where the world's largest Powership, Karadeniz Powership Orhan Ali Khan's first welding ceremony also took place.

     

     

     

    Karadeniz Powership Orhan Ali Khan is world's largest Powership with its 460 MW production capacity and 300 meter length. The ship is planned to be completed in the beginning of the first half of 2016.

     

     

     

    In his speech at the ceremony, Karadeniz Holding CEO Orhan Remzi Karadeniz said "We are excited to bid farewell to our two ships that were constructed domestically in all phases from designing, engineering, and building, to financing to Ghana and Indonesia. Thanks to Powerships, hospitals, schools, factories and homes now have electricity and they will be contributing to the development of our friendly nations. Therefore, we call our Powership Project, the 'Power of Friendship'. We hope that the provided electricity will bring prosperity, peace and happiness. I would like to express a special thanks to everyone who contributed to the project."

     

     

     

    Following the opening speeches, the farewell ceremony was completed with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Karadeniz Holding representatives gave the first tour to the Minister and media representatives, and provided detailed information on the Powership Project.
