1-Who is "Jana" and how did she discover her singing talent?
My name is Jana, I am a Lebanese girl from Deir El Qamar.
I have always been influenced by my father Poet Maroun Rouhana, and I used to go with him to his media appearances and his meetings with artists.
After that I have studied and graduated in Acting and Directing from the Lebanese University.
In 2010, I participated in Studio Al Fan and earned a silver medal for the classic song category, then I released my first song "Habibit Habibi" written and composed by me.
In 2011 I signed with "Music is my Life" record label.
2-You started your career with "Habibit Habibi" arriving to "Fik w Fiha". Talk to us about this song was it inspired from a personal experience?
After "Habibit Habibi", I released "Bent Mnel Chareh" which was very successful and was a huge hit as soon as released in 2012. After that I released "Iza Fikrak" in 2013 which was inspired from Greek folklore. After that I released "Dars Khsousi" which made me stand up as a multi-talented artist, and in March 2015, I released "Bint Jdida" for the first time in Egyptian.
In August, I released "Feek w Feeha".
The song title resulted controversy on most media, but the video explained everything and the public commented positively on my Social pages.
The idea of the song accompanied me since university days where I went through a similar condition and developed the idea of a song that was i wrote and was distributed by Marc Abdelnour and composed by Wissam Al Amir.
3-To what extent do you think beauty can be the cause of your progress in the art world?
After some time of being lost, the importance of the voice returned to impose itself.Thank God my voice is good, but I keep taking lessons in Vocalize constantly as well as taking care of my looks and exercising with a personal trainer.
4-Who is your role model in the artistic community?
Each artist has a status and charisma that distinguishes him/her from others. I am influenced by my father, of course, but for example, I like diversity in Sahah's songs, she sings both folk and classical music tracks, in addition to that she was also an actress. I love the cuteness and of Nancy Ajram, Elissa's passion, Haifa Wehbe's intelligence, Kathem Al Saher, and in conclusion, the angelic voice of Fairouz.
5-What distinguishes "Jana" from other performers?
I do not like to talk about myself, but I leave that to the loving and close people in my life. All I can say is that I sing in addition to sports and exercise and I also dance so I can be an artist who is constantly in evolution
6-What are your future artistic plans after "Fik w Fiha"?
I am currently working on a new song then I will be releasing an album. I will also release a song written by my father.
