1.Let us know how did you come up with the idea of opening Theatrum? Can you tell us more about the concept?
The idea behind Theatrum started when we realized that amid all the chaos happening in Lebanon, especially politically, we need some cultural awakening and some kind of outlet to all the frustration that has been building up.
Therefore, we decided to combine all the experiences that the Lebanese people love the most into one ideal place. That is why the only high-end night club where you can find spectacular live music, local and international gourmet food, fine cigars and alcohol, and also live theatrical performances is Theatrum.
2.Why did you choose Jbeil and not Beirut or any other region?
Jbeil is booming, and it is becoming a nightlife hub, so we thought that it would be a perfect location for a new and unique venue such as Theatrum.
3.How have you named your venue “THEATRUM”?
Theatrum is actually Latin for the word “theater,” and the venue is built in an old theatre. Also, there will be live performances and possibly plays and sketches, so it is technically a modernized theater.
4. Will this venue have outdoor in summer?
At the moment, there will not be an outdoor section in the summer, however Theatrum will be open to welcome customers all year long whenever they would want to come by and enjoy the amazing atmosphere.
5.Up to how many people can this location accommodate?
It is nothing like these little pubs where everyone is crammed together as though they are stuck in a sardine can. The venue is capable of accommodating up to 400 people .
6.As we know the Grand Opening of Theatrum will be held on the 10th of December 2015, what are your expectations on this day?
This day will surely be magical and memorable. We are expecting a great turnout, and we know for a fact that people will be having a great time partying, enjoying the music and the food, and most importantly making plenty of precious memories.
7.What's the Purpose of the slogan “Make Memories?”
Anyone can make memories, and memories are made anywhere, but these are not the types of memories we are talking about because those fade away quickly.
Theatrum is the place where cherished, everlasting memories are made. The atmosphere, the décor, the music, the food, the service, the luxury, the lighting, the performances, and of course the great company all contribute to the making of memories that you will have a hard time forgetting. There will always be a story that you have experienced at Theatrum which you will never forget, whether it is a love story, a celebration, a happy occasion, a special dance, a special connection, etc.
