Dorsaf Hamdani, the leading Tunisian artist, will perform on Tuesday November 24th at BeirutHall, the most beautiful songs from BARBARA, the mythical French singer, and FAIROUZ, the singing legend in the Arab World, in a concert that holds a message of hope and life, directed by composer and accordionist Daniel Mille.
Proceeds from this concert will go to support Skoun Lebanese Addictions Center's ongoing work in addiction treatment and drug prevention.
After participating in different cross-cultural creations, notably "Ivresses" based on the quatrains of Omar Khayyam and paid tribute to three great ladies of Arab singing with the show and the album "Princesses du chant arabe", the Tunisian singer Dorsaf Hamdani launches a new challenge with a unique creation: BARBARA & FAIROUZ.
It is not a duel of divas to which invites us Dorsaf Hamdani singing Barbara & Fairouz, "I longed for them to speak to each other" she simply said.
According to Bertrand Dicale, journalist and author specializing in popular music "... Melodies born in Lebanon or on the banks of the Seine seem to be made of the same material, the same palette, and the same mood. Fairouz sparkles seem to illuminate the spleens of Barbara, who in turn gives a sharp intelligence to the romanticism of the oriental singer. An original virtual and intercultural meeting, a united East and West".

About Dorsaf Hamdani
Born in 1975 in Tunis, and at a young age, Dorsaf Hamdani develops her talent: a powerful and mesmerizing voice. Growing up in a propitious family environment, Dorsaf evolves between the oral tradition of her grandmother and the encouragements of her father, a violinist.
Dorsaf is a young interpreter and yet she masters different repertoires: arabo-andalous songs from Maghreb (Noubas), classical Arabic songs, and traditional Sufi songs.
She has a fascinating ease in singing difficult couplets of Warda, Najet, Fairouz or even the diva Oum Kalthoum and also in deep incantations of Sufi music.
On stage she combines an exquisite voice, discreet moves and a captivating smile. She gives free rein to her performances to the utmost happiness of the public.
