Total Liban inaugurated a French language laboratory at the Military Academy in Hazmieh on 9 December, 2015. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Defense and Cooperation Mission of the French Embassy in Lebanon, Lebanese military figures and a delegation from Total Liban.
This unique laboratory allows the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) to possess technology training tools. The learning process is thus computerized and interactive, as each desk is equipped with a computer that is directly linked to that of the trainer, who will be able to follow closely the learners' work. Through this laboratory, Total Liban offers the largest number of officers the opportunity to benefit from French lessons in optimal and advanced learning conditions, with the goal of training 750 people annually.
This initiative is part of Total Liban's ongoing support since 2010 to the Jeu de la langue française that was launched by the Defense and Cooperation Mission of the French Embassy in Lebanon to promote the French language and its use within the LAF.
According to Mr. Amblard, Managing Director of Total Liban, "it is important for the LAF to learn the French language, as this represents an overture for the Lebanese Army that would be able to rely on an additional language asset fostering cooperation, exchanges and skill optimization".
