There will be a New Year celebration in Paris on the Champs Elysees. As is the Parisian tradition, tourists and residents therefore may again meet on that which is nicknamed "the most beautiful avenue in the world". But this year, sobriety is there. There will be no big show and the fireworks display has been canceled for security reasons.

Last year, 650,000 people gathered on the Champs Elysees.
