Christmas is a time of giving and warm memories. It's when family and friends come together and celebrate the joy of the holiday seasons especially around delicious meals that are indelibly intertwined with Lebanese celebrations. However, some less fortunate people in our community do not get the chance to experience the magic of the holidays, with many concerns often looming over the brightness of the season.
Since Zaatar W Zeit believes that sharing joy and spreading love is what defines this most wonderful time of year, they launched this season a thoughtful initiative aiming at offering generous meals to the inhabitants of underprivileged areas around Lebanon. Zaatar W Zeit lovers were encouraged to take part in this initiative by donating wishes through love messages recorded on iPads in all ZWZ branches, by posting videos or pictures on Zaatar W Zeit's Facebook page or uploading them on Instagram using the hashtag #Christmas4Everyone.
"We were touched to see that people were really excited about this activation. It was a pretty amazing feeling to know that we had so much support from all over Lebanon. For us, it was not just offering a meal, it was celebrating the true meaning of Christmas, which is the value of giving and sharing blessings," said Mrs. Frida Farah, Managing Director of Zaatar W Zeit. During a whole week, for every post, photo or video recorded in one of Zaatar W Zeit's outlets or uploaded on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #Christmas4everyone, a meal was shared with underprivileged people from different regions by Zaatar W Zeit's employees who were in charge of the distribution.
Thinking of it as just one person at a time, Zaatar W Zeit made sure not to leave anyone behind this year and was able to make a difference in many lives by bringing back hope to the less fortunate and sharing as little as a delicious meal and a message of love, truly making this Christmas a #Christmas4everyone.
