    Beirut Chants Festival wrapped up with Soprano Rima Tawil

    Solidere's 5th Beirut Chants Festival was concluded on Tuesday the 25th of December with a special performance by International Lebanese Soprano Rima Tawil. The Soprano was accompanied by Pianist Jeff Cohen and Cello Player Carine Ballit. The event held in a magnificent Christmassy atmosphere was attended by a crowd of officials and music lovers.


    The special celebratory performance took place at the St. Elias ChurchKantari. For this occasion, Mrs. Micheline Abi Samra, Founder of BeirutChants, stressed on the importance of the sacred music Festival. She stated in her speech: "Beirut Chants emerged from our cultural vision which aims to provide access to world class music to everyone." Abi Samra praised the success of this year's version of Beirut Chants, thanking all people who supported the event financially and provided it with moral endorsement.

    Addressing the audience Micheline Abi Samra said: "We remaindeeply grateful for your presence, your active participation and sincereencouragement. In the hopes of meeting you again, we are ready now toprepare for another season of Beirut Chants full of joy and happiness."
    The 5th edition of Beirut Chants obtained a tremendous success this year.

    It included an exceptional line up of Lebanese and International artists and singers who gave performances all over the BCD's Churches through 25 nights. Celebrating Christmas, the performances included musical nights and caroling bands that attracted large crowds counting more than 20,000 persons from all over Lebanon.
