These messages, which falsely claim to come from Alfa or from its Chairman and CEO, Mr. Marwan Hayek, claiming to offer the chance to win a car or other gifts to those who follow a dubious internet link or dial an international telephone number included in the message. The fraud's victims are then told to visit the company's headquarters to collect their reward.
Alfa would like to stress that these messages in no way come from the company. They are a means of tricking subscribers and misusing the name of Alfa CEO to do so. Alfa urges its subscribers to ignore these fraudulent messages and avoid following the link or dialing the suspicious telephone number associated with them, since this could jeopardize the security of their personal information and smart phone data, potentially resulting in unexpected monetary charges.
