    Ericsson strengthens ties with Lebanese universities

    • Ericsson conducts a "Universities Wireless Course" for students from leading Lebanese universities.
    • This initiative confirms Ericsson's commitment to the youth.

     

    Ericsson's commitment to the youth and their educational development vision has been translated into several initiatives over the years in the Middle East region. Most recently, Ericsson regionally launched The ICT Professional Foundation Program to serve as a vital introduction to the ICT industry, previously collaborated with regional universities for smart cities data researches and today, conducts a tailor-made course to university students in Lebanon.

     

     

    The "Universities Wireless Course" hosted 33 students from leading Lebanese universities including the American University of Beirut, Lebanese American University, Lebanese University, Beirut Arab University, St. Joseph University (Ecole Superieure des Ingenieurs de Beyrouth and Notre Dame University-Louaize.

     

     

    The course, a special of it's kind for Ericsson in Lebanon, aimed to provide students with a wide scope of knowledge about 3G and 4G technologies highlighting above all Ericsson's Networked Society vision where everything that can benefit from a connection will be connected.

     

     

    A ceremony was held at Ericsson Lebanon attended by university deans and members of Ericsson's Levant Leadership Team to recognize the certified students.

     

     

    Mohamad Dergham, Head of Ericsson North Middle East said: "Ericsson believes that the youth are key drivers towards the Networked Society. Through this customized initiative, we show once again our commitment to the youth and their educational growth. We are pleased to have had the chance to share our knowledge and vision with such ambitious and talented students".
