Nino Lettieri presented on Altaroma Fashion Week his latest couture collection. The trip of an Indian princess from New Delhi to the city of Montecarlo inspired the collection for spring summer 2016. The designer creates a whole collection dedicated to the princess and composed by several outfits that recall to India's embroideries and colors while maintaining some western details and cuts.
The originality of textiles is characterized by the illustration of a special animal that is the protagonist of Indian culture and religion and his name has been assigned as label to the whole collection entitled "Elephants".
On catwalk more than 30 outfits, colors are from black to white to pink with different shades of fucsia, color very appreciated by Indian women.
Nino Lettieri has thought about the different times of the princess journey, proposing various outfits for several glam occasions. in the morning, kaftans with pants or overalls made in chiffon, organza and mikado drawn up with the printing of small and giants elephants; dresses with trapeze cut made of silk and cotton with trousers in mikado. for the afternoon, jackets in various lengths with wide folds on shoulders made of pure white mikado, black and pink, decorated with crystals and sequins embroideries covering necks and sleeves and evoking indian style; silk knee-dresses garnished with embroideries & macramé jointly with ankle-tight pants. the evening outfit is characterized by black kaftans in georgette along with their own pants embroidered with small elephants in paillette. For grand nights Nino Lettieri presented embroideries in lurex made on tulle in pink and black color.
Nino Lettieri bride's shows embroideries that symbolize small, medium and large elephants in white and transparent sequins. the wedding dress is made of white chiffon and mikado natural silk, distinguished with alternated flounces.
To complete the total look Nino Lettieri designed Indian footwears as sandals and slippers in silk, in suede, in ecological python and ecological viper with black, white and pink rubbers created expressly for the fashion house by Napoli's master craftsmen, "sianoviaroma".
Nino Lettieri has thought also about bijoux showing large necklaces, rings and earrings in resin and metal representing small and large elephants in the colors of black and gold. made in collaboration with "paviè bijoux".
The hair styling created by Francesco Beneduce and the make-up fashioned by the artist Raffaele Squillace, evoke in a modern key, the charming and charismatic India style.
