As part of its ongoing efforts to facilitate communication for its subscribers in Lebanon and abroad, Alfa, the first Lebanese mobile network managed by Orascom Telecom, announces the launch of the Prepaid Voice Roaming (PVR) service for its subscribers in prepaid lines.
This service has the advantage of allowing Alfa prepaid roamers to receive calls automatically via 292 operators in 154 countries, which is a unique and exclusive feature offered by Alfa. Subscribers will also be able to make calls via specific operators according to a specific timetable that Alfa will follow. The service will be available without a subscription fee and it will be automatically activated upon the arrival of the subscriber to the country of destination.
Making Calls is currently available in Turkey via Turkcell, in UAE via Etisalat and in Egypt through Mobinil. By the end of this month, it will be made available in France through Bouygues Telecom, in Iraq through Korek Telecom, and in Kuwait through VIVA and soon in Saudi Arabia through Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and through a number of other operators whose names will be announced successively on Alfa's website: www.alfa.com.lb, on which subscribers can also check the tariff for each country and operator.
It should be noted that PVR will be available to all Alfa prepaid subscribers, and it will be gradually replacing the Roam In service among all Alfa roaming partners. Until then, Alfa prepaid users will still be able to use the Roam In service under the operators who do not support PVR yet.
