As part of their corporate social responsibility, Gefinor Rotana Hotel partnered with LOYAC on Monday, April 11, to raise awareness about health and food safety issues in a cultural activity held for students under the title "Our health is our wealth," at Lycee Minet Modern School.
As the risk of fake and contaminated products rises, the purpose of the event was to raise awareness about the importance of purchasing and consuming goods that are considered healthy to the human body.
The program started with a lecture about food safety, followed by the distribution of a healthy salad and food box, including fruits and water, provided by Gefinor Rotana to all participants. This is to highlight the importance of following a healthy diet, and to show the students an example of what a healthy meal looks like.
LOYAC, the NGO that provides youth with opportunities for personal growth, played an important role in organizing cultural sessions that explained to the children the food pyramid, followed by fun activities for the students while serving an educational purpose.
Franck Royer, General Manager of Gefinor Rotana, said: "We are pleased to partner with LOYAC in this awareness activity for students, for the base of education starts at a young age."
