In the presence of a large number of colleagues and friends, Professor Nada Moghaizel-Nasr, Honorary Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Rector's Representative to quality assurance, was named Knight in the Order of Academic Palms, on Friday April 15th, at the French Institute of Lebanon.
She received her medal from Mr. Denis Louche, Cooperation and Cultural Advisor and Director of the French Institute.
In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Moghaizel-Nasr shared the secret of her inspiration to work in the field of education, guided by the values of her parents Joseph and Laure Moghaizel whom she describes as "pragmatic dreamers". She dedicated this tribute to her students, who offered her, as she said, many silent medals, by using what they have been taught to.
Intimidated by this tribute that she said will have to earn every day, Mrs. Moghaizel-Nasr wished for this moment to be an opportunity to confirm the belonging of all present people to the universal values of both the French Republic and the Lebanon we want.
