Surpassingall the odds surrounding Lebanon, Grand Cinemas, the most innovative cinema chain in the region, in parternship with Virgin Radio Lebanon, transformed the Lebanese streets into an entertaining superhero activity by organizing an instagram competition "Spot yourFavorite Superhero!"from March 15th to April 5th. People had to take a picture with their favorite superhero, post it with #GCSuperhero on their instagram account and get the chance to win an all-expense paid trip for two to New York Comic Con. Batman and Superman were caught roaming the streets of Beirut, Bekaa, Dbayeh and Mzaar, to list a few. The campaign had an impressive 350+ participant and ahugepositive social engagement until it made a headline on The New York Times, KuwaitTime and L'Orient le jour Lebanon among others!
Wrapping up the competiton, the winner was chosen randomly by a draw while broadcasted live on the Drive with Zayna on Virgin Radio Lebanon. Mr. Georges Joseph Khabbaz, the lucky Winner, will get to visit the largest pop culture convention on the East Coast, The New York Comic Con exhibition, in October 2016.
As part of their community service activity, Grand cinemas concluded the campaignby engaging the two superheroes, Batman and Superman, in cleansing the shores of Les Residence De La Mer, with the collaboration of LiveLoveBeirut, RecycleLebanon and Mario Chiha .
