TEACH A CHILD held its annual dinner party, at BIEL Pavillon Royal, in the presence of more than 500 guests including supporters and friends who enjoyed the evening, dancing on tropical beats and supporting a great cause: Ensuring that every child in Lebanon is given the right to learn and prosper.

During the night, donors renewed their pledge to the cause that TEACH A CHILD embraces.

The NGO started by supporting 105 students in 2011. Five years later, in September 2015, Teach a Child enrolled 1162 students in 158 public schools all over Lebanon without any discrimination against gender, religion, or academic performance, and is committed to help them until they finish their schooling.

The President of TEACH A CHILD, Zeina El-Khalil stated: “Giving underprivileged children access to education is our mission and every year our commitment grows. Thanks to our generous supporters, we are being able to achieve our goal to teach a child for a brighter future”.

In the next five years, TEACH A CHILD aims to increase the number of children supported by 10% yearly and to continue expanding geographically to serve new areas in Lebanon. The NGO also focuses on enhancing the experience of children in public schools and thus, supports projects that improve school premises, equipment and IT.

Moreover, TEACH A CHILD commits to fund its graduating students to pursue higher education, university and vocational. With a strong belief that education is crucial for social & economic development, TEACH A CHILD lobbies with the authorities for the effective implementation of the law on compulsory education.
