    Frangieh meets Araygi and Faraoun to launch Ehdeniyat’s annual program

    For the fifth consecutive year, Ehdeniyat International Festival is attracting the most prominent artists. A cultural and artistic festival which entices the whole country to Ehden in the north Lebanon.

     

    In order to launch Ehdeniyat's annual program, Mrs. Rima Frangieh, founder of Ehdeniyat, met Raymond Araygi, minister of culture, who said: "Ehdeniyat will take place at a beloved land to me full of memories. This summer, Ehdeniyat will be gathering the Lebanese with beauty, joy, hope, art and culture from Lebanon, the Arab World and the world".

     

    "Ehdeniyat is a real opportunity to create social links between the different Lebanese communities. The festival will boost the local tourism economy and will also contribute to the development of Lebanon at all levels. Best wishes to Ehdeniyat for a vibrant and successful season and to Lebanon for a stable and calm summer", he added.

     

    After that, Frangieh, accompanied by Araygi, met Michel Faraoun, minister of tourism, to brief him on the program. She recommended giving special attention for festivals aiming sustainable development. "These festivals will reinforce the role of the local communities and will engage the Lebanese citizens in spreading musical culture and raising its culture. In addition, these cultural events will be a great support for youth by creating job opportunities during the summer season", she assumed.

     

    "In Ehdeniyat, we are glad that our concerts are satisfying all music tastes and our festival is gathering the Lebanese, where they can benefit from some joyful and peaceful moments. Our major purpose is to spread the music culture, a relieving way for the people specially the youth", Frangieh added.

     

    Michel Faraoun greeted Ehdeniyat's team and Mrs Rima Frangieh for creating such a sublime festival in Ehden, in the north of Lebanon. "Ehdeniyat is one of the best festivals in Lebanon with a various program", Faraoun added.

     

    "I would love to attend one of the marvelous concerts. I also wish to Ehden and Lebanon a wonderful and successful summer season, just like last year, since 170 festivals were held in the country", Faraoun outlined.

     

    "Ehdeniyat International Festival 2016", in collaboration with the Zgharta casa municipality union and the Municipality of Zgharta - Ehden, starts in the 22nd of July. The tickets will go to support the SOS and the North Autism Center - NAC. Sparkling nights in Ehdeniyat in the following program:

     

    - 22nd of July : Magida El Roumi is a name that marked the Music history. She won the hearts of the Lebanese people and the Arabs wherever she sang, painting her own image and career with three goals: To glorify God by chanting, to respect the human being and its dignity by transferring creativity to him, to nourish our home land with goodness, joy and beauty.

     

    - 30th of July : Classic music lovers will enjoy "Concerto Delle Stelle" by the Orchestra Giovanile Mediterranea, conducted by Toufic Maatouk with a splendid Lebanese and Italians singers and musicians performance: Francesca Dotto (Soprano), Bechara Moufarrej (Tenor), Roger Abi Nader (Bass - Bariton), Francesco Vultaggio (Bass).

     

    - 5th of August: French Nostalgia with Herve Vilard and Michele Torr. Vilard, a French pop singer and a King of the sixties. His first single "Capri c'est fini" became an international hit after selling more than 3 million copies. Herve made his path through misery and poverty. He decided to put an end to his musical career by the end of 2016.

     

    Michele Torr, the triumph of sensuality, as she was called is French singer and author. The singer with the angelic face and the devil voice was rewarded several times during her career where she sang love, passion and breakup. "Emmène-moi danser ce soir", "Une vague bleue", "La séparation", A faire pleurer les femmes... are some of her unforgettable hits.

     

    -     6th of August: Rita Ora is a British singer and actress. In 2012, Ora's first single "RIP" was the UK number-one singles. Her single, "I Will Never Let You Down", became her fourth UK number one when it debuted at the top of the charts in 2014. She played the role of Mia in Fifty Shades of Grey and she will be starring Fifty Shades Darker.

     

    -     12th and 13th of August: Kadhim Al-Sahir will be Ehdeniyat's last guest, for the fourth year. Caesar will, as usual, bring you the moon and let you catch the stars. The end of Ehdeniyat will be with his majestic voice singing love, hope and homeland.

     

     

    However, Ehdeniyat dedicated a part of its program to support the Lebanese talents as the R&B and Hip-Hop singer Ammar Basha and Circus Lebanon, in the 20th August. The entrance will be also free of charge for Children in the following dates:

     

    -     28th of July: Louna Show.

     

    -     10th of August: Histoire d'un miroir by Anna Saad.

     

    -     18th of August: 100% Star Season By Ghinwa.
