For the third year in a row, SANAD, an independent non-governmental non-profit organization providing home hospice care to terminally ill patients and their families in Lebanon, hosted its annual fundraising gala dinner on May 19th at Sursock Palace Gardens, Ashrafieh. The event gathered media partners along with stars and renowned social figures, in addition to the organization's ambassador Dean Ali Jaber. This year's gala dinner highlighted for the first time a special collaboration between SANAD and Socrate Catering that supported the organization and its mission, as part of its corporate social responsibility activities.
On this occasion, SANAD's president Mrs. Lubna Izziddin pointed out the importance of the assistance that the society is offering SANAD and thanked Socrate Catering for its huge support that resulted in great funds this year. Mrs. Izziddin ensured that this support will substantially contribute to the development of SANAD's services and will help the organization offer the best care possible, in order to protect the patient's dignity and quality of life.
In his turn, chairman of Socrate Catering Mr. Saad Zeidan, highlighted the important role that SANAD is playing in the society and the huge difference it has made on the humanitarian level during the past years, and encouraged to support every initiative that values human's life.
Famed television presenter Nishan Derharoutyounian hosted the event, adding to it a sparkle of positivity, expressing his sincere belief in SANAD's cause that touches the life of every person.
The gathering was a perfect occasion for SANAD to honor MBC Group's chairman Sheikh Waleed bin Ibrahim Al Ibrahim for the inspirational role he is playing to support humanitarian causes in the Arab world, and for his support for SANAD in Lebanon.
The attendees enjoyed the breathtaking music performance of The Golden Age band that offered a selection of the best oldies of all times, in addition to a tombola game, the profits of which went to SANAD.
This fundraising event falls under Socrate Catering's commitment to support SANAD's mission which is to provide comprehensive home-based hospice care to terminally ill patients while preserving their dignity and enhancing the quality of their remaining life. SANAD aims to assist patients in remaining as alert, functional and comfortable as possible within the calm and sanctuary of their own home, surrounded by family and loved ones. These support services are delivered, free of charge, to patients regardless of their nationality, religion, gender, diagnosis or ability to pay.
