In the 3^rd edition of the Beirut Young Fashion Designers Competition organized by La Mode Beyrouth, Nazem Orra was announced as the winner!

La Mode A Beyrouth is the official fashion week in Beirut where local and international designers & brands can showcase their latest collections with LIPS Management.

Beiruting.com had the great privilege to interview the first place winner of this spectacular competition where many talented designers participated by showcasing their beautiful collections and thus promoting the Lebanese talent.

1.Who is your biggest inspiration or influencer to your designs?
My biggest inspirations and influencers are Jean Paul Gaultier and Stephan Rolland .

2.When did you discover your passion for fashion?
I've passionate for fashion since I was a kid , I always had a sharp vision for clothes and details , I used to dress my mom and sisters for all occasions .

3.I noticed that a lot of your designs have a flow in it. Could you describe to me how you think of movement or any concept when coming up with your designs?
This is true , my collection contains many transparent fabrics . The cuts are always curved and big volumes are always present . Material work and accessories are a must to make it more luxurious and glamorous . My concepts are always based on life style , personality and dreams.

4.If you could describe the collection you displayed at the Beirut Young Fashion Designers Competition using an animal name, what would it be and why?
Lion , the collection is strong and attractive as the lion strength and weird beauty .

5.Do you ever feel what writer's call: "writer's block"? If yes, what activity do you do to get out of it?
Yes , I always go out to the nature , especially the sea , my thoughts go so far as my vision and a can be recharged to create more and be more and more inspired.

6.How would you rate difficulty of succeeding as a fashion designer in Lebanon?
True , Lebanese designers now are booming , too many talented designers , but each one owns his own signature , identity and personal universe , and this is what I deliver , I'm telling my own story and interdicting my own personal universe that I live day by day , this what can make my style unique and specified for specific ladies.

7.Is there any advice you would like to give to fashion design students just starting out?
I advice all fashion design students to have all the courage in the world to fight for there dreams , to walk on it to live it everyday and to break the rules to achieve what they admire to be in the future, I thank Johnny Fadlallah and L.I.P.S.
