Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy."
In this context, "Al-Midan" NGO, leaded by Mrs. Rima Frangieh, organizes its 8th amazing "Christmas by the lake" Festival, on the shores of Bnashï's Lake on the 3rd of December at 4:00 pm.
The preparations have begun since the first of September, where the plans and designs were developed and drawn.
But this year, a new concept, a different tree from its predecessors, a unique and creative one.
It's a huge tree, with a length of 25 meters and a diameter of 13 meters. A Magical Christmas tree that mixes between the traditional and the modernity.
Its unicity, is by its decoration, first, a spinning base that take us to Santa's wonderland where we find all his workshop's characters as Rudolf, teddy bears, nutcrackers, candies, elves and many more.
Second, a miraculous tree, dressed by shinning pieces of mirrors, glasses and paillette in addition to small red stars linked by red ribbons.
Third, the whole pavement of Bnashï's lake become an angelic island of white trees, that reflect the snowing season and deliver joyful vibes.
Finally, the combination between the whole decoration and Bnashï's nature itself, will be an astonishing masterpiece that travels with our imagination to a breathtaking and magnificent word where the eyes are amazed and our spirits are speechless.
Furthermore, this event has an environmental and ecological dimension that aims to protect nature and its components.
By working on "Al-Midan" plan:"دوّرها، دوّر دوّر" in the context of:
a- Recycling all gifts papers and boxes ( we're waiting to receive all empty gift boxes and gift papers to recycle them )
b- Recycling empty batteries that cause damage the atmosphere and pollute our water resources.
This festival also has a humanitarian target and purpose, which aims to spread joy and happiness, while remembering the glorious spirit of this occasion.
