Mövenpick Hotel Beirut is celebrating a fifth identical feather in its cap after being named Lebanon's Leading Resort for 2016 by the World Travel Awards. The announcement was made at the World Travel Awards Middle East Gala Ceremony in Dubai, where four shortlisted nominees competed for the final honours.
The World Travel Awards brand is recognised globally as a hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark in their respective categories. Travel industry leaders, senior hospitality executives, government officials, luminaries and international journalists attend the gala ceremonies.
Pasquale Baiguera, general manager of Mövenpick Hotel Beirut is delighted with the award's return to the five-star beach resort. "We have recently done a lot of work to upgrade our hotel and keep its reputation as an outstanding product in Lebanon," he said. "I am very grateful for the dedication of all our team members in looking after our guests and being the heart of our resort".
The 292-room Mövenpick Hotel Beirut is situated next to the Mediterranean Sea, with a beach, spa and health club. There are also five restaurants and a kids' club. It is the fifth consecutive year the hotel has won this specific award, the first time being in 2012.
