Mrs. Rima Frangieh, founder of "Ehdeniyat International Festival", launched "Ehdeniyat Winter", as part of the new concept of Ehdeniyat International Festival, which will no longer be confined to a time and place and will instead be extended throughout the year covering all the naturally beautiful places that Ehden has to offer.
"Since tourism is a very rich & diversified sector in lebanon & is the main backbone of the Lebanese economy, it must be ongoing & active all year round . Hence the inspiration for an evolving Ehdeniyat's concept from a summer festival taking place in a specific place & a specific period of time to programs, concerts & activities taking place in Ehden and its surrounding and throughout the four seasons. We'll be celebrating Ehden in every season with artistic, cultural & sports events inspired from the season" Frangieh stated.
"As Lebanese, we should cooperate and work collectively to enhance the Lebanese tourism industry, a key to the creation of job opportunities especially for the youth. Today, more than ever, we need to reinforce the role of the local communities and engage them to achieve economic prosperity", she added.
Frangieh highlighted the beauty of Ehden saying: Ehden is rich in historical and religious tourism, heritage and rural tourism, sports and environmental tourism, artistic & cultural tourism as well as the tourism of the famous traditional cuisine of Zgharta & Ehden ; Ehden a very special town in the north of Lebanon is famous for the generosity and hospitality of its people and by its fascinating nature, will be ready to welcome everyone throughout the year".
"Ehdeniyat Winter will be in collaboratio with the Municipality of Zgharta - Ehden, and in cooperation with the hotels, the restaurants, the organizations and the clubs in Ehden as well as the personal initiatives, that were already taking place in the town", she added
Frangieh concluded: "today, hand in hand, we launch Ehdeniyat Winter, and we invite all the Lebanese and tourists to be welcomed in Ehden".
