Under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism in Lebanon, a press conference was held on Friday,May 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ministry's Headquarters in Hamra. The conference announced the launch of the second edition of Dbayeh International Festival 2017 and was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian, His Excellency the Ambassador of Armenia in Lebanon Samvel Mkrtchian, the Head of Dbayeh, Aoukar, Zouk el Khrab, Haret el Bellane Municipalities Kabalan El Achkar, the Head of Dbayeh International Festival Corine El Achkarp.
The dates of the festival were announced during the conference scheduled to be held on the 6th, 7th and 8th of July, 2017. The conference also tackled the organization of the event that will present a wide variety of programs, including Lebanese and regional artists who will perform on stage. The event will host Sherine Abdel Wahhab on the 6thof May at the opening ceremony, Barekamutyun, the Armenian State Dance Troupe, on the 7th of May and the Lebanese singers Nancy Ajram and Melhem Zein on the 8thof May at the closing night of the festival.
Mrs. Corine El Achkar delivered a speech during the conference. "Today, we meet for the second time in a row. We owe the organization of this event to Dbayeh that has long gathered us to announce the launch of the festival's second edition. Right from this shore, the Mediterranean, civilization and culture have both began. Right from this place, the sun has risen, the sun of the giants Wadih El Safi, Fayrouz, Chahroura Sabah and other great artists as well", she said.
"Our goal will remain the same and Dbayeh will always be the beacon of Metn, the beacon of Lebanon, the beacon the Orient and the world. With the motivation and efforts of its residents, all this will be achieved. Thanks to your love and support, the name of Dbayeh will shine in the sky of Lebanon as we will not forget the success we achieved hand in hand in 2016", Mrs. Corine added.

The Minister of Tourism, the Head of Dbayeh, Aoukar, Zouk el Khrab, Haret el Bellane Municipalities have in turn delivered a speech during the conference.
