Al Falamanki recently organized a campaign to cleanup the beaches of Raouche, one of Lebanon's coastal treasures where one can enjoy pictures queviews of pristine blue sea from all sides of the cornice.
The cleanup drive is one of the company's key CSR initiatives,reflecting its commitment to environmental conservation and protection of Beirut's coastline from the threat of marine and seashore pollution.
Al Falamanki staff headed for the beach, not to chill out and relax but to get their hands'dirty'. They rolled up their sleeves and embarked on the day-long activity joined by the management and marketing team to clean the beach area and remove waste and unwanted debris that pose hazard to the environment and also to visitors that frequently visit the area.
As they collected debris and garbage littered in the water and on the shores, the trash bags filled up fast;altogether, the teams filled up bags to fill almost two medium size trucks!Thankfully, team work makes a heavy task light.
"As a socially-responsible organization we proudly support the beach cleanup initiative as one of the many ways we show our commitment to protecting the environment.
We would like to encourage individuals and organizations to embrace such environmentally-friendly practices, and working together to mitigate the environmental impacts will help us all by making the communities in which we live cleaner and healthier,"said Mario Jr. Haddad, restaurateur & partner Al Falamanki who actively participated in this initiative.
"This was a great team-building event which the company hopes to do on a regular basis," added Bilal Khafeja,Manager at Al Falamanki."Participating in this event has not only inspired but also set a new tradition within the team. The cleanup has brought us together-employees and management, to collectively volunteer for an environmentally worthy cause."
