After its tremendous success with its 2016 festivals, Sidon International Festivals Committee held a press conference at the Ministry of Tourism in Beirut Hamra during which they announced their 2017 Festival program.
The conference was under the patronage of Minister of Tourism Mr. Avedis Guidanian in the Ministry's Glass Hall. The conference was attended by HE Mr. Fouad Saniyoura, MP Bahia Hariri, Minister of Culture Dr. Ghatas Khoury, Governor of the South Mr. Mansour Dao, Ministry of Tourism Director General Mrs. Nada Sardouk Ghandour, Mayor of Saida Eng. Mohammad Al-Saudi, Musician Guy Manoukian, SIF President Mrs. Nadine Kain Al-Amin, the SIF Committee members and other cultural social and media personalities.
Mrs Al-Amin then announced the program for the season which starts with a Touristic Night around the city of Saida on August 26, when all cultural centers and historic sites will be open to the public with various cultural and artistic activities. On September 6, International singer Shirine Abdel wahab will give her first concert ever in the city of Saida and the South of Lebanon. On the 7th of September, the festival's program also includes a concert by Music Hall which includes a range of live music performances from rock, gypsy and Latin as well as Middle Eastern music and jazz. The virtuoso performer Guy Manoukian will be back to join the Sidon Festivals on September 8. The season will end with a spectacular Saida in Color festival on September 10.
