Under the patronage and presence of the Lebanese Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian, Aigle Azur announced the debut of its services in Beirut. The announcement was made through a press conference held at Le Gray hotel downtown Beirut, in the presence of Aigle Azur's Chairman and CEO; Mr. Michael Hamelink and Commercial and Marketing Director; Mr. Tiago Martins, along with a crowd of media representatives.
The second largest French airline, with more than 70 years of experience, has declared the debut of the new route starting June 2017, with 4 flights a week, thus exceeding 300 scheduled flights each week.
"We are delighted to launch our services in Beirut today, and we are committed to opening up to new markets that will provide more options with our business class and economy class services, as a part of our on-going strategy of expanding medium-haul flights" said Michael Hamelink, Aigle Azur's Chairman and CEO.
"We are confident that the new route between Beirut and Paris will contribute to the enhancement of domestic and international air transport capabilities, and passengers will experience excellent levels of quality and luxury in all stages of travel, from booking the flight to onboard and on-the-ground service. We are also expecting an exponential growth in tourism and trade on this line. "
For the new route between Paris and Beirut, the renowned airline, with a fleet of 11 aircraft flying to various destinations, dedicated A320 and A319 aircraft set up, with 12 seats in Business Class and 125 seats in Economy.
