Let’s take a road trip to the south of Lebanon and get exploring!!
Here are some things you should definitely see if you ever decide to drive your car all the way to Chouf!
1)Maaser El Chouf:
This is the site of one of Lebanon's most beautiful cedar forests. It is also a choice spot for walking enthusiasts. From the top of the mountain, at 1940 meters altitude, there is a panoramic view over the Bekaa, the Litani Dam and Lake Qaraoun.

2)Deir Al Qamar:
You can’t go to Chouf without checking out Deir Al Qamar! It’s one of Lebanon’s prettiest villages out there and 10 out of 10 would recommend visiting this summer.
3)Moussa Castle:
About 2 km out of town in the direction of Beiteddine is Castle Moussa, a truly unique waxworks museum. A must see! Don’t say we didn’t say so ;)
4)Beiteddine: 
You have to visit the Beiteddine Palace. Actually, from personal experience, we made the whole trip to Chouf just for that but ended up finding so many other gems on the way! Take our word for it. This is incredibly recommended for all the Architect and Interior design fans out there J
5)Moukhtara: 
You’ll definitely get amazing shots and pictures there! About 9 km south of Beiteddine is the town of Moukhtara, the seat of the Jumblatt family and de facto capital of the Chouf. The Jumblatts' 19th-century stone palace dominates the town.
6)Shallalat Nabeh Merched:
After a long drive and walking around, you’ll probably need a little rest and a bite to eat! However, no need to deprive yourself in that hour from the beauty of Chouf. This place is a kilometer further along is a delightful setting with a waterfall and pools framing the background of a large and pleasant restaurant. The temperature near the falls can be quite cool even during the hottest days of summer.
Now grab that camera of yours, load up the car with friends and gas, and start driving. There’s a lot of places waiting for you! :)
