Bnashii Lake: 10 years for 10 NGOs
With this 10th Christmas by the Lake celebration, we wanted to add our humanitarian value and dedicate it to: 10 years for 10 NGO's.
Ten years of celebrations and festivals crowned by many successes and characterized by spreading joy, drawing smiles on everybody's faces while inspiring positivity. This annual celebration attracts visitors from all over Lebanon and abroad.
Al Midan NGO announces the opening of "Christmas by the Lake...10 years for 10 NGO's", on the 9th of December at 4:00pm by the Bnachii Lake, to celebrate the decade in presence of the Minister of Tourism Mr. AvidesKidanian, in collaboration with the Union of Municipalities of Zgharta and the partnership of Alfa Telecommunications.
Our teams have been preparing this year's event since early Septemberto mark the date, and make a Christmas tree different than before as it encompasses all the themes adopted since 2007. Every detail was extensively worked on in order to achieve the final result that challenges imagination's best depiction of this season.
The extraordinary Christmas tree's dimensions are 30 meters in height and13 meters in width. It contains 685 tree leavesof Cedar green color. It is decoratedwith red balls and Christmas candles, as well as golden stars and bells that add phenomenal beauty to the majestic setting.
The holistic view is magnified by the natural surroundings of the lake that adds a special touch to the whole scenery, making it look like a real masterpiece.
This event includes many cultural, entertainment and artistic activities, suitable for all ages. From 9 Dec till 9 Jan:
-9 Dec: opening of Christmas by the Lake at 4pm with entertaining shows such as musical parade, confetti and a 100 Santa's coming from the lake to welcome visitors.
The rest of the events are to take place at the Bnashii Lake Restaurant, at 5pm:
-10 Dec: Mini Studio.
-14 Dec: "Pôle Nord"- Ghinwa by Jean Sadek.
-15 Dec: Louna et le Nuage de Noël.
-16 Dec: Christa Maria AbouAkl(Ambassador of the Higher Council of Childhood)
-21 Dec: Once Upon a Fairytale- Wakazoo.
-22 Dec: Anna... La Magie des Deux Lutins.
This season is a seasonof love, giving, participation and forgiveness. Like the previous years, we emphasize the humanitarian input to the festivities. AlMidan NGO, under the slogan of "10 years for 10 NGOs" decided to support 10 NGO's in North Lebanon to extend a helping hand and spread joy to needy people, through the following associations:

The sides to this event are numerous as it has an environmental and touristic message, namely because Bnachii is one of the top touristic locations in the region. This yearly celebration creates many seasonal job opportunities for the young and helps in achieving social sustainable development in the local community and the Northern Governorate.
