We've been through many phones in our days, but none have ever left a lasting impression quite like this one. We gave the new Huawei Mate 10 Lite a test and we can't seem to put it down. From taking pictures to streaming videos, it sure does come in handy.

Cameras

For starters, the cameras are spectacular. The device is equipped with powerful dual lens cameras on both the front and the back, for better selfie taking. Where we used to have to take dozens of selfies to choose the best one, now we only selected our favorite from a few. What also helps all generations take better photos and selfies, is the phone's smart selfie toning flash that guarantees proper lighting for picture-taking, wherever you are and at any time of the day.

It's worth noting that the cameras are very detail-oriented thanks to the two cameras that work simultaneously to accentuate even the most minor details. However, you need not worry about spots and blemishes and the flaws a clear close up might pick up because the device boasts preinstalled make up filters to up your selfie game. With several filters that closely focus on skin tone, you never have to worry about capturing unclear skin in pictures again.

Did we mention it also produces moving pictures? Its quick motion camera feature lets you take mini clips instead of pictures and edit and choose the best one that suits you.

The phone is special for its large 5.9-inch panel that undoubtedly provides a better viewing experience for reading fine print, watching videos, or even detailed stalking on social media. What really stood out with the Huawei Mate 10 Lite was its split screen feature that allowed us to have two apps running simultaneously. Now, we don't waste time flipping through apps or getting lost in the phone's many options.

Appearance

There's no way we'd approve of a useful phone if it weren't attractive, but the Huawei Mate 10 Lite redefines sexy. It's extremely appealing thanks to its perfectly symmetrical shape and curved edges. It looks very advanced and high tech but is actually user friendly enough for even younger and older generations.

Speaking of symmetry, the flashlight, fingerprint sensor, USB socket and dual-lens camera all lie on the back of the phone's central axis, while the dual-lens camera (right) and a reflection of the camera flash and distance sensor (left) are on the front. It may sound bulky and confusing, but just one use gave us the impression that it's compact and easy to use.

The HUAWEI mate 10 lite is available in several stunning colors like graphite black, prestige gold, and aurorablue.

We haven't told you the best part: After two days of constant talk time, tons of video plays, and of course a number of trial selfies, the battery was still going strong.
