On Tuesday, January 16, Aïshti hosted at We Are The People the launch of the Sonia Rykiel capsule,"the first collection, chapter celebrating the house's 50 years.
The house'collection, launched globally, encouraged fashion enthusiasts around the world to celebrate through self-expression. The pop-up at We Are the People, and simultaneously key stores around the world from Japan to New York and London, was transformed into a monumental art installation by Jaro Varga: a library of books with blank spines, inviting guests to inscribe their own book covers or designs, and to write messages of hope, love and dreams, as well as tributes and birthday wishes to Rykiel.
The "Manifesto"capsule collection featured shirts, knitwear, jackets and accessories adorned with messages and Rykiel slogans, all of which were designed by creative director Julie de Libran.
