George Clooney is officially off the market, and the wedding everyone has been talking about is over, but new details are still emerging-and we've got the exclusive scoop.
Hollywood's most famous bachelor tied the knot with Amal Alamuddin on Saturday in Venice, Italy, during an evening ceremony. Amal looked breathtaking in her Oscar de la Renta gown and the groom looked very dapper in his black Armani tux.
But what about the food? As any guest knows, that's the best part about every wedding. Unsurprisingly, George and Amal did not disappoint in the dinner department.
The catering for their reception that took place at the gorgeous Aman Canal Grande hotel was prepared by Salza Catering led by chef Riccardo del Pra, and the cake was from the Ramperti bakery.
While both Salza Catering and Ramperti were not available for comment, a Venice insider revealed to E! News exclusive details on the reception menu and wedding cake.
Guests were treated to a Tuscan feast, which started off with small bites and canapes before dinner. The first courses were ravioli with lemon and ricotta and a lemon and blue lobster risotto. The second course was a Chianina Tuscan beef, and dessert was a chaud-froid with zabaglione, which is a cold and hot specialty.
We're working up an appetite just thinking about the elaborate Italian menu, but don't forget to save room for cake! The reception included a decadent chocolate cake with intricate gold leaf decorations. The confection was designed to mirror some of the frescoes in the Aman resort room where the cake was unveiled. Clearly every last detail was considered and attended to.
Something tells us that all the famous wedding guests including Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Bono and Bill Murray definitely enjoyed all the fabulous food and cake.
Just another perk of being in George and Amal's close circle of friends. Cheers to the newlyweds!
